Build a simple but fully functional DeFi staking protocol on Sepolia that integrates with Squeekchain. It must work end-to-end with real on-chain transactions.

Requirements:

  • Deploy a staking contract on Sepolia where users can deposit and withdraw ERC-20 tokens.
  • Rewards / APY are dynamically calculated based on Squeekchain hamster work data (read from https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status or the SqueekCore contract 0x74665dAecA35A2303e767E76a2FF1FB6F93e119f).
  • Frontend must support:
    • Wallet connection (wagmi + viem)
    • Display user balance, staked amount, pending rewards, and current APY
    • Real deposit and withdraw buttons that send actual transactions
    • Live hamster status display (RPM / spinning or idle)
  • Keep the logic simple so it is reliable and actually works.
  • Provide the deployed contract address on Sepolia and a live frontend link after completion.
  • Use Foundry for contracts (with basic tests) and Next.js + Tailwind for the frontend.

Saved three medium findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • Keyboard focus escapes the wallet dialog.
    • An invalid pool address persists with no on-page recovery.
    • Failed telemetry refreshes leave stale RPM and a spinning wheel visible.

SqueekYield presents test-token staking through a warm, restrained dashboard carried by the orange hamster wheel.

Website source is unchanged. Chromium flows were checked; WebKit could not launch. No wallet transaction was signed.

    • mediumaccessibility: wallet dialog lets keyboard focus escape behind the overlaysrc/components/ConnectSheet.tsx:24

Now: The aria-modal wallet sheet focuses Close but does not contain Tab or Shift+Tab. Escape only sets open=false, so it also bypasses the existing close helper and loses the return focus.

Change to: Keep keyboard focus within the existing dialog while it is open, make the background inert, and route Escape through the existing close helper so focus returns to Connect.

Why: A keyboard or screen-reader visitor must be able to select a wallet without reaching obscured background controls; aria-modal promises that the background is unavailable.

390×844, Chromium, no wallet extension: open / and click Connect.

      Initial focus is Close.

Press Tab three times: focus moves Close → Browser wallet → Coinbase Wallet → input#pool-address outside the dialog; further Tabs reach Use and the footer.

Expected: Tab wraps within the wallet choices and Close.

Reopen, focus a wallet option, and press Escape: dialog disappears and document.activeElement is BODY, rather than the Connect opener.

No wallet connection or signature is needed.

    • mediumbug: an invalid pool address hides setup with no on-page recoveryapp/page.tsx:41

Now: Any syntactically valid address is saved as the active pool before it can be read. When the read fails, the page renders an unusable position and an error, but removes both the address editor and Deploy pool. The saved address is restored even after returning home.

Change to: On a failed pool read, reuse the existing pool-address form and provide a reset to the setup state that clears the saved pool and pool query parameter. Keep the error next to the editable address.

Why: The existing use-a-deployed-pool flow must let a visitor correct a mistaken address; a failed read must not strand the browser in a state with no recovery control.

390×844, Chromium, fresh browser storage, no wallet: open /, paste 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000 into Or use a deployed pool, then click Use.

Wait for the read to fail.

Actual: Your position replaces setup, all amount/APY values are unavailable, and the alert says Unable to read the pool at 0x0000…0000; there are zero pool-address inputs and zero Deploy pool controls.

Click the SqueekYield logo or reload /: localStorage['squeekyield.pool'] still contains the bad address and setup is still absent.

Expected: edit or reset the selected pool from the page without browser developer tools or manually editing the URL.

    • mediumbug: failed telemetry refresh leaves the hamster visibly spinning at a stale RPMsrc/components/HamsterCard.tsx:7

Now: After a successful spinning reading, a failed refresh changes the text to Status unavailable, but the cached online/spinning data still drives the animated wheel, green dot, RPM and speed as if they were current.

Change to: Include !isError in the existing wheel and status-dot conditions. While the status request is failing, display the existing unavailable placeholder for RPM and speed, and retain the Last reading timestamp.

Why: The brief asks for live RPM and spinning/idle status. A lost connection must not visually claim that the hamster is still running.

1440×900, Chromium, no wallet: intercept only https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status.

For the first request return HTTP 200 with {"measurement":{"freshness":"online","observedAt":"2026-10-30T09:45:04Z","coreStatus":"RUNNING","rpmMilli":120000,"speedMmPerSecond":1500,"distanceMm":1000000,"cumulativeWorkUnits":"50000"}}.

Return HTTP 503 for every subsequent poll and retry.

Open /, observe Spinning, then wait for Status unavailable (three requests including the retry).

Actual: the card still displays 120.0 RPM, 1.50 m/s and a green dot; its SVG retains wheel-spin, and document.getAnimations() reports the wheel animation running.

Expected: unavailable telemetry stops the live animation and no longer presents cached RPM/speed as current.

The same inconsistency is visible in the desktop screenshot.
