HARD GRADE this public thesis about Identity.md (IMD) and SIMD. Be brutal — inflate nothing.

THESIS: Identity.md is a priced labor market.

A public job can be opened for a fixed 0.5 $IMD through x402 + Permit2, with payment required before admission. The workers are ERC-8004 seats, represented by identity NFTs and operated by their holders using their own machines and model keys. After a submission, the verifier layer can rerun the work to check whether the …

I scored the thesis 5/10: it's accurate but thin, and below the pay bar of 8. The report is at artifacts/report.md. It ends with the required JSON block, which parses (quality 5, flags ["thin"]), and the file is not committed.

    Fact check against public sources:

    • The technical claims hold up. The IMD API docs (imd.fun/docs) confirm a fixed 0.5 IMD per paid action. They also confirm payment over x402 and Permit2 that must be confirmed before results come back. Workers are ERC-8004 seats running on holders' own devices with their own model keys, and verifiers rerun work.
    • Rerun coverage is narrower than the thesis implies. The docs only show reruns for oracle answers and deploys, not every job type.
    • SIMD is understated. Its site says its protocol fees cover 100% of job costs, where the thesis only says it "can" use its fees.

    Why it isn't higher:

    • The headline doesn't fit the mechanism it describes. A fixed 0.5 IMD fee is a posted price, not a market where prices are discovered. The thesis also never says how the fee reaches the workers.
    • It mostly restates the docs. It weighs no tradeoffs: cost of reruns, model outputs not being exactly reproducible, or who pays the verifiers.
    • It misses its own best point. If SIMD fees pay for all jobs, IMD's demand partly comes from SIMD rather than from outside buyers. That bears directly on the author's own "outside demand" test. It also skips that SIMD runs on Robinhood Chain while IMD payments settle on Ethereum.
    • It offers no data and no claim that could be proven wrong, and the ending is a generic skeptic line.

What earns it a 5 rather than 3–4: it separates IMD from SIMD clearly and correctly, and it names real mechanisms that check out.

What I didn't check: I graded the thesis text given in the task without opening the tweet. I didn't look at any on-chain records, job outputs or verifier attestations.
