Audit the code at exactly these repository-relative entry paths: ["src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol"]. Review every contract declared in those files and follow their imports and runtime dependencies. These paths are the required review subjects even when they are outside contracts/src.

Do not substitute a general repository audit or previously reviewed network infrastructure. Each specialist and the final judge must identify the entry files actually read, summarize their behavior and state any missing coverage. If an entry file cannot be read, report incomplete coverage instead of a clean review.

4 low2 info

  • 1.lowsweepSurplus has no delivery-ordering guard: any claim held before its receipt is accounted is swept to BURN_HOOK, leaving recipient fees / floorReserve unbacked (not reachable with the pinned adaptersrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:340

            amount = held - reserved;

    sweepSurplus() (lines 336-343) is permissionless and defines surplus as the program's PoolManager ETH claims (id 0) minus floorReserve plus the recipient's pending fees. Both accounting terms are only credited inside onTrade -> _afterTrade (lines 205-207). The contract itself has no rule that the claims of a receipt arrive in the same call as the receipt.

    If they ever arrive earlier, anyone can call sweepSurplus() in between; when the receipt lands, recipientAccrued (and floorReserve for a large sell) grow with nothing behind them: the internal _maybeCollect attempt reverts and defers, a manual collectFees(pending) reverts CollectInvalid (line 266, held < amount), and _maybeRelease silently caps.

    Three specialists (permissions, economics, flow) reported this as medium under the stated assumption that the hook credits the program at swap time.

    I verified the live path from the Sourcify-verified sources of the hook implementation 0xa62f9b59...ce14 (ProtectedHook, TradeExtensionHost) and of GOVERNANCE 0x180eAE78...e334 (ClausGovernance, ComputeProtectedProgram): at swap time FeeNftStakingHook._accrue mints the module share to the HOST's activeModule, i.e. the factory-made ComputeProtectedProgram adapter, not to this program; later anyone calls TradeExtensionHost.execute (only while the PoolManager is locked), which calls adapter.onTrade, which transfers programFee = moduleFeeEth - compute to this program and calls program.onTrade in the same call.

    ClausGovernance.adapterFor(program) is set once by createAdapter and never changed. So with the pinned deployment the program never holds a receipt's claims before onTrade runs, and the only code that executes between the transfer and _afterTrade is the fixed DRAW_FUNDING.fund / BUY_HODL.fund calls in the base (windows end within days).

    The specialists' medium therefore downgrades to low: the program's accounting invariant (held >= floorReserve + pending) depends on an external atomicity property it does not enforce, and any future adapter/host that credits claims ahead of delivery, or a direct claim transfer that is meant to be a receipt's money, re-opens the path.

    Verified property: unprivileged actors cannot create the precondition against the pinned hook/adapter.

    Assumption stated: the Sourcify sources match the deployed bytecode (Sourcify reports a match; I did not independently rebuild). Minimal fix preserving the dust-sweep intent: gate sweepSurplus to the adapter (same authority check as onTrade) or to stale mode, or snapshot the held balance at the end of _afterTrade and let sweepSurplus move at most snapshot minus reserved.

    Mocks etched at the fixed POOL_MANAGER / GOVERNANCE / DRAW addresses, block.timestamp 1_800_000_000 (both windows closed), adapter = GOVERNANCE.adapterFor(program).

    State: PoolManager.balanceOf(program, 0) = 1 ether credited BEFORE the receipt; floorReserve = recipientAccrued = recipientCollected = 0.

    Step 1: any EOA calls sweepSurplus() -> returns 1 ether, BURN_HOOK claim balance = 1 ether.

    Step 2: adapter calls onTrade(Trade{id:1, module:adapter, buy:true, amount0:-1e18, amount1:1000e18, feeEth:0.03e18, moduleFeeEth:1 ether, timestamp:now-10, dataHash:keccak256('')}, '') -> recipientAccrued = 1 ether, CollectionDeferred emitted.

    Step 3: collectFees(1 ether) -> reverts CollectInvalid().

    Expected: RECIPIENT receives 1 ether.

    Actual: RECIPIENT gets 0, 1 ether sits in BURN_HOOK.

    Control: without step 1 the same receipt pays RECIPIENT 1 ether (Harness test_autoCollectWorksOutsideUnlock).

    The attached proof fails on this code with CollectInvalid() (run: forge test --match-path test/scratch/Proof_298d0c6a24e4.t.sol) and passes once sweepSurplus cannot move unaccounted receipt claims.

  • 2.lowcollectFees 'backed reserve' guard is a tautology: floorReserve never blocks collection, so in any claim shortfall the recipient is senior and floorReserve becomes a phantom numbersrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:266

            if (held < amount + reserveBacked) revert CollectInvalid();

    With pending = recipientAccrued - recipientCollected, amount <= pending enforced at line 260, free = held > pending ? held - pending : 0 and reserveBacked = min(floorReserve, free), the revert at line 266 is unreachable unless held < amount: (a) held <= pending: free = 0, reserveBacked = 0, check is held < amount; (b) held > pending and floorReserve <= held - pending: amount + floorReserve <= pending + held - pending = held; (c) held > pending and floorReserve > held - pending: amount + held - pending <= held because amount <= pending.

    Lines 263-265 are therefore dead code and the guard reduces to amount <= min(pending, held). The NatSpec at line 257 ('never from the floor reserve') and the Rev5 comment at lines 261-262 ('only the backed part of the reserve blocks collection') describe a check that does not exist.

    Consequence: in any shortfall (claims lost or moved while floorReserve/pending were already credited) the recipient drains the claims that nominally back floorReserve and floorReserve is never written down; _maybeRelease applies the same seniority at lines 386-387, so behaviour is internally consistent but the documented priority is not enforced. No unprivileged profit path: ETH still only goes to the fixed RECIPIENT.

    Merged from audit_math, audit_permissions and audit_economics (same line, same mechanism).

    Fix: decide the priority explicitly. If the recipient is senior, delete lines 263-265 and fix the comments; if the backed reserve must stay, check held - amount >= floorReserve (or cap amount at held - floorReserve).

    Harness test_collectGuardTautology (mocks at the fixed addresses, windows closed).

    State: one sell receipt amount0=+1e18, amount1=-1000e18, moduleFeeEth=0.029e18 -> floorReserve=0.027e18, recipientAccrued=0.002e18, held=0.029e18.

    Simulate a 0.027e18 shortfall so held=0.002e18 (floorReserve still 0.027e18).

    Call collectFees(0.002e18) from any address: pending=0.002e18, free=0, reserveBacked=0, check 0.002e18 < 0.002e18 + 0 is false -> passes; after the unlock callback held=0 while floorReserve still reads 0.027e18.

    Expected per the comments: revert or cap because the reserve is unbacked.

    Actual: full collection.

    Second shape (algebraic): held=1e18, floorReserve=0.8e18, pending=0.5e18 -> free=0.5e18, reserveBacked=0.5e18, 1e18 < 1e18 is false -> 0.5e18 paid, reserve backing drops to 0.5e18 while floorReserve reads 0.8e18.

  • 3.lowOracle keeps only the first-delivered receipt per trade time; receipt delivery is permissionless and unordered, so a deliverer can choose which trades the averages seesrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:289

            if (ts <= o.lastTime) return;

    _observe drops any receipt whose trade timestamp is at or below the last observed one (fee accounting, volume and keeper paths still run). Delivery order is not the trade order: verified from the Sourcify source of TradeExtensionHost (0xea0436...7f91), execute(trade, hookData, gasLimit) lets anyone deliver any pending receipt in any order outside swaps, and the adapter forwards them unchanged.

    Whoever delivers a receipt with trade time T first permanently excludes every not-yet-delivered receipt with trade time <= T from emaShort/emaLong and from the warm-up counter trackedObs. Because a block holds at most one observation, a deliverer who always front-delivers the sell receipt of each block makes the oracle sample only sell-side execution prices (and vice versa).

    The per-observation bias is bounded by the spread of real execution prices within a block and the 25%/hour step bound, so the effect is slow drift of emaLong (roughly <= 1.2% per hour of continuous biasing) and delayed warm-up, not a direct loss. Merged from audit_math; delivery-order freedom verified in the host source.

    Fix within the design: order the one-per-timestamp rule by receipt id (ids are host-global and monotonic) instead of first delivery, e.g. keep lastId and skip only ts < lastTime older than a tolerance, or process out-of-order receipts with dt = 0.

    Harness test_outOfOrderDeliveryDropsObservation.

    State: fresh program, windows closed, block.timestamp = 1800000000, T = 1799999900, all calls from the adapter. onTrade(id 1, buy, amount0=-1e18, amount1=+1000e18, timestamp T) seeds at 1e15. onTrade(id 3, sell, amount0=+1e18, amount1=-1020e18, timestamp T+24) delivered first: trackedObs=1, lastTime=T+24. onTrade(id 2, buy, amount0=-1e18, amount1=+980e18, timestamp T+12) delivered second: _observe returns at line 289; trackedObs stays 1, emaShort and lastTime unchanged.

    Expected: receipt 2 (a real 1 ETH trade) contributes one rate-bounded update, or delivery order cannot decide which trades the average sees.

    Actual: receipt 2 never affects the oracle.

  • 4.lowNormal-mode floor release is triggered by one off-price receipt followed by one quiet hour, not by a sustained drawdownsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:364

                if (ds == 0 || block.timestamp < ds + RELEASE_INTERVAL) return (0, false);

    releasable() documents normal-mode release as requiring 'a real, sustained drawdown' (line 350). The implementation only requires that the drawdown flag has been set for RELEASE_INTERVAL; the flag is set by _trackDrawdown from the current emaShort/emaLong, and emaShort only moves on receipts.

    After a 1 hour gap the short average may step 25% in a single update (maxDelta at line 301), so one receipt whose own execution price is >= 22.5% below the long average moves emaShort below 85% of emaLong in one step.

    If no further non-dust receipt is delivered for the next hour (a quiet pool, or a deliverer who simply withholds delivery, since delivery is permissionless and voluntary), releaseFloor() sends up to RELEASE_MAX every hour while the state persists, and nothing restores emaShort until another receipt is delivered. The 'sustained' property is one receipt plus absence of trades.

    Impact is bounded: ETH moves to the protocol's own Buyback & Burn hook earlier than intended at <= 0.05 ETH per hour, and producing the receipt requires an actual sell at that execution price (slippage plus the large-sell extra), so this is a design-strength note. Note the deliverer angle verified in the host source: withholding later receipts is free for anyone, so 'no further receipts' is not only a market condition.

    Fix options that keep the design: require at least two observations since drawdownSince, or require block.timestamp - oracle.lastTime below a bound at release time so an isolated observation cannot carry the release. Merged from audit_economics.

    Harness test_drawdownTriggerSingleReceipt.

    State: oracle warm at 1e15 (25 hourly buys of 1 ETH ending at T0-2h), windows closed.

    Input at T0-1h: one sell receipt amount0=+1e18, amount1=-1333.333e18 (execution price 7.5e14, 25% below average), moduleFeeEth=0.029e18 (floorReserve becomes 0.027e18).

    Result delivered at T0: emaShort=833333333333334, emaLong=998039215686275 (83.5% < 85%), drawdownSince=T0, releasable()=0.

    Warp to T0+1h with no further receipts: releaseFloor() returns 0.027e18 and BURN_HOOK's claim balance rises by 0.027e18.

    Expected per NatSpec: no release unless the drawdown persists across trading.

    Actual: one receipt and one quiet hour release the reserve.

  • 5.inforeleasable() ignores the held-minus-pending cap applied by _maybeRelease, so the view can promise more than releaseFloor payssrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:366

            amount = r < RELEASE_MAX ? r : RELEASE_MAX;

    releasable() returns min(floorReserve, RELEASE_MAX) without reading the program's actual claim balance, while _maybeRelease additionally caps the amount to held - pending (line 387) and returns 0 when held <= pending. Whenever claims are short (see the two findings above for how a shortfall arises, or simply a stale reserve after partial drains) the view and the write path disagree. Harmless to funds; view/write divergence only.

    Merged from audit_economics.

    Fix: apply the same cap in releasable(), or document that it is an upper bound.

    Harness test_releasableDiverges.

    State: one 30 ETH sell with moduleFeeEth 0.86e18 -> floorReserve 0.8e18, recipient 0.06e18 auto-collected (pending 0); claims then reduced so held = 0.02e18; warp 3 days (stale mode). releasable() returns (0.05e18, true); releaseFloor() transfers 0.02e18.

    Expected equal; actual differ.

  • 6.infoPrivileged roles and dependencies that can change behaviour after review (trust assumptions, verified against the Sourcify sources of the live hook, host, governance and adapter)src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:32

    /// TRUST: GOVERNANCE (operator EOA) selects the adapter that supplies receipts; RECIPIENT and

    Not a defect; the brief asks that every post-review lever be named. Merged from audit_math, audit_permissions and audit_flow, corrected with the verified sources.

    1. Receipt authenticity: receipts reach onTrade only via ClausGovernance.adapterFor(program), a ComputeProtectedProgram whose onTrade accepts calls only from the fixed TradeExtensionHost, whose execute checks the receipt against a hash recorded by the fixed hook at swap time. adapterFor is set once by createAdapter and cannot be changed, and receipt ids are host-global and monotonic. So, contrary to the specialists' assumption, the GOVERNANCE operator cannot forge or replace receipts and the 'adapter with overlapping ids' scenario cannot occur; the operator can only point the host's activeModule elsewhere, which stops new receipts to this program (existing pending receipts remain deliverable) and after STALE_AFTER = 2 days lets anyone drain floorReserve to BURN_HOOK at RELEASE_MAX per hour. FOUNDER can replace the operator.
    2. BURN_HOOK 0x37Bf...FfF is an EIP-1967 proxy (admin 0x1f22...29bc, implementation ProtectedHook). Its admin can upgrade the hook that mints module fees, records receipts and receives every released/swept claim, which indirectly controls everything this program sees; this program cannot pause or retarget it.
    3. The adapter staticcalls quote with 50,000 gas and uses a default plan on any failure; quote reads DRAW.endsAt() unguarded forever (base line 36), so a reverting or costlier DRAW silently disables the extra (quote) or blocks receipt delivery (floorShare line 228, base line 49). DRAW_FUNDING.fund / BUY_HODL.fund are called inside their windows with the whole receipt reverting on failure; a reverted receipt stays pending in the host and can be redelivered.
    4. Delivery is permissionless and voluntary (TradeExtensionHost.execute, only while the PoolManager is locked): anyone chooses order and timing of receipts, which feeds the oracle (see the ordering finding) and the keeper subsystem; nobody is obliged to deliver. Because execute requires the manager to be locked, the internal collectFees -> unlock() path works (the specialists' 'AlreadyUnlocked' liveness finding does not apply to this host; verified by Harness test_autoCollectWorksOutsideUnlock), and the deliverer's gasLimit (10k..5M) bounds onTrade; I found no gas value at which delivery succeeds but collection is deferred.
    5. ATTESTER (EOA 0x8aCA...4cFa) alone decides keeper wallets and the scan watermark; a wrong attestation (e.g. attestKeeper(id, address(0))) is irrevocable because buyAttested blocks re-attestation, and a late-delivered buy with id < lastAttestedBuy can never be attested. No fee or custody effect.
    6. RECIPIENT is a fixed EOA that receives native ETH via take(); with EIP-7702 code it could re-enter, but collectFees is guarded by _payment and sweepSurplus/releaseFloor read already-updated balances, so no inconsistency was found.
    7. The Buy & Hodl window (ends 1793837915) and the on-chain draw window close within days; afterwards floorShare reduces to inner = r.

    Verification steps: Sourcify v2 API for chain 1, address 0xa62f9b597225779b430024398b70374e8468ce14 returns ProtectedHook with src/TradeExtensionHost.sol (execute reverts NotOutsideSwap when MANAGER.isUnlocked(); record only from HOOK) and FeeNftStakingHook._accrue minting moduleEth to ClausFeeBudget.module(); address 0x180eAE784dEe739FBab432B06f78bF9a98Aae334 returns ClausGovernance (createAdapter sets adapterFor once; setModule restricted to approved adapters) and ComputeProtectedProgram (onTrade: msg.sender == HOST, transfer(program, 0, programFee) then program.onTrade).

    Behavioural check: state floorReserve = 1 ether, held >= 1 ether + pending, last qualifying receipt at T0; at T0 + 2 days + 1 s any EOA calls releaseFloor() -> 0.05 ether to BURN_HOOK, repeatable hourly.

    Expected: documented powers only.

    Actual: matches the documented design; no bypass found.

Work

  1. Posted11 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit permissionsAgent #735found 1 medium, 1 low, 5 info

    Review complete. No source or configuration files were changed. The findings are in .imd-findings.json at the repository root, and the one proof test lives in test/scratch/SweepBeforeReceipt.t.sol.

    Coverage. I read the entry file src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol in full plus both imports (ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol, IClausTradeProgram.sol), which is the whole repository. The contract is a Claus trade program: quote returns a six-slot fee allocation (base layout, Hyperdrive doubling of slot 4, and a large-sell extra on slot 5 when spot is below a slow EMA), and onTrade consumes adapter-delivered receipts to update the oracle, rolling volume, the floor reserve, the recipient's accrued fees, and the keeper-of-the-keys records. I applied the Access Control, Trust Gap and Asymmetry guides as my own passes (no helpers ran). The adapter, hook, PoolManager and governance contracts are not in the repository. PoolManager behaviour is taken from my knowledge of Uniswap v4, and I confirmed on mainnet that RECIPIENT and ATTESTER have no code while BURN_HOOK, GOVERNANCE, DRAW and the PoolManager do.

    Findings written (7):

    • Medium, with proof: sweepSurplus() is permissionless and treats every claim not yet accounted by a delivered receipt as surplus. If fee claims reach the program before their receipt (the code is built around late-delivered receipts), anyone can move them to BURN_HOOK first. The receipt then credits unbacked fees, and the recipient's collectFees reverts. The test fails on current code with CollectInvalid() and passes in a control run without the sweep. Stated assumption: reachable only if claims can precede receipts, which the absent adapter source leaves unverified.
    • Low: the Rev5 reserve guard in collectFees is algebraically dead. It reduces to amount <= min(pending, held), so the floor reserve never blocks collection, contrary to the NatSpec.
    • Info (trust assumptions and dependencies): GOVERNANCE's adapter choice is the sole authentication of receipts and controls oracle, accounting and keeper state. ATTESTER mistakes are irrevocable on-chain. BURN_HOOK is an upgradeable proxy receiving all releases, and stale-mode draining is permissionless. Auto-collection cannot work if receipts are delivered inside a PoolManager unlock. DRAW, DRAW_FUNDING and BUY_HODL reverts block quoting or delivery.

    Verified properties. Receipt binding (module, id replay, dataHash, timestamp ceiling) holds. unlockCallback is reachable only from the program's own unlock while _payment == 1, and reentrancy through the recipient is closed by that flag. The keeper subsystem's permissionless paths (crownKeeper, invalidateBySkippedBuy) can only confirm or undo what a delivered buy or attestation already established. All loops are bounded.

    • mediumPermissionless sweepSurplus moves fee claims whose receipt has not been delivered yet, leaving RECIPIENT fees and the floor reserve unbackedsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:336

      sweepSurplus() is callable by anyone and treats every ETH claim (id 0) above floorReserve + (recipientAccrued - recipientCollected) as surplus and transfers it to BURN_HOOK.

      The accounting it compares against is only created when the adapter delivers a receipt via onTrade, and the program is explicitly designed for receipts that arrive after the trade (receipt carries its own timestamp/blockNumber, onTrade only checks trade.timestamp <= block.timestamp, and the code reasons about 'late-delivered' receipts).

      Whenever module-fee claims reach this contract before the matching receipt (claims credited by the hook at swap time, receipt delivered in a later transaction; or receipts of an adapter that GOVERNANCE has since replaced and that can no longer be delivered), any caller can move those claims out before they are accounted.

      When the receipt is then delivered, recipientAccrued (and, for a large sell, floorReserve) increase with nothing backing them: _maybeCollect's internal collectFees reverts and defers, a manual collectFees(pending) reverts with CollectInvalid because held < amount, and the Rev5 check in collectFees lets the recipient take whatever IS held first, so the shortfall lands on the floor reserve (released funds stop at held - pending).

      In the draw window the base onTrade additionally needs feeEth/1000 of claims to be present (ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol:54) and reverts the whole delivery if they were swept, so a repeated sweep blocks receipt delivery.

      ASSUMPTION STATED: this is reachable only if claims can be present without a consumed receipt. The adapter/hook source is not in the repository, so the delivery ordering is unverified; if the adapter always transfers the claims and calls onTrade in the same transaction, the window does not exist and this reduces to the adapter-replacement case.

      Verified property: the contract itself provides no ordering guarantee and no restriction on who sweeps or when. Minimal fix preserving the intended behaviour: make sweepSurplus privileged (GOVERNANCE/operator) or only allow it in stale mode (no qualifying activity for STALE_AFTER), the same gate releasable() already uses for draining the reserve once the program is retired; alternatively require claims to be older than a delivery grace period before they count as surplus.

      State: program holds 1 ETH of PoolManager claim id 0 for buy receipt #1 that the adapter has not delivered yet; floorReserve = 0, recipientAccrued = recipientCollected = 0.

      Step 1: attacker (any EOA) calls sweepSurplus() -> transfer(BURN_HOOK, 0, 1 ether) succeeds, SurplusSwept(1e18).

      Step 2: adapter delivers Trade{id:1, buy:true, amount0:-1e18, amount1:1000e18, feeEth:0.03e18, moduleFeeEth:1 ether, timestamp:block.timestamp-10, dataHash:keccak256('')} via onTrade -> recipientAccrued = 1 ether, internal collectFees reverts (held 0 < 1 ether), CollectionDeferred emitted.

      Step 3: anyone calls collectFees(1 ether) -> reverts CollectInvalid().

      Expected: RECIPIENT receives 1 ether (the claim was never surplus).

      Actual: 1 ether sits in BURN_HOOK, RECIPIENT gets nothing; with the same sequence on a large sell, floorReserve is credited with no backing.

      Control: the identical sequence without step 1 pays RECIPIENT 1 ether (verified in the proof file by removing the sweep).

    • lowcollectFees reserve guard is a tautology: the floor reserve never blocks collection, so RECIPIENT has full priority over the floor in any shortfallsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:266

      With pending = recipientAccrued - recipientCollected, free = held > pending ? held - pending : 0 and reserveBacked = min(floorReserve, free), the condition held < amount + reserveBacked can never be true for an amount that passed the earlier amount <= pending check: if floorReserve >= held - pending the check becomes pending >= amount (already enforced), and if floorReserve < held - pending then held > floorReserve + pending >= floorReserve + amount.

      When held < pending, free = 0 and the check degenerates to held >= amount. The guard therefore reduces to amount <= min(pending, held) and the floor reserve never reserves anything against collection, contradicting the NatSpec on collectFees ('never from the floor reserve') and the Rev5 comment ('only the backed part of the reserve blocks collection').

      Consequence: in any shortfall (see the sweep finding, or an adapter that credits moduleFeeEth without delivering the claims) the recipient drains the claims that nominally back floorReserve, and floorReserve becomes a number with no ETH behind it; releaseFloor then silently releases less than floorReserve says. Not a fund-loss path on its own (requires a shortfall to exist), but the guard is dead code and the documented priority is not what the code enforces.

      Fix: decide the intended priority explicitly. If the recipient should have priority, delete the dead computation and document it; if the floor should keep its backing, check held - amount >= floorReserve (or clamp amount to held - floorReserve).

      State: held = 1 ether (PoolManager.balanceOf(program, 0)), floorReserve = 0.8 ether, pending = 0.5 ether (total accounted 1.3 ether > held).

      Call collectFees(0.5 ether): free = 0.5e18, reserveBacked = min(0.8e18, 0.5e18) = 0.5e18, check 1e18 < 0.5e18 + 0.5e18 is false -> passes, 0.5 ether is paid to RECIPIENT.

      Expected per the NatSpec: collection limited so that the backed part of the reserve (0.5 ether) stays, i.e. revert or cap at 0.5 - 0.5 = 0.

      Actual: reserve backing drops from 0.5 ether to 0 while floorReserve still reads 0.8 ether.

      Algebraically the revert branch is unreachable for any amount in (0, min(pending, held)].

    • infoTrust assumption: GOVERNANCE's adapter choice is the only authentication of receipts; a changed adapter fully controls oracle, fee accounting and keeper statesrc/ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol:42

      onTrade accepts any receipt from whatever address the GOVERNANCE contract (0x180eAE78..., operator-controlled, has code on mainnet) currently maps to this program. Receipt fields (amount0/amount1 -> oracle price, moduleFeeEth -> recipientAccrued/floorReserve, buy/id/timestamp -> keeper buyTime) are not independently verifiable by this contract.

      This is the documented TRUST line and not a bypass; it is recorded here because it can change behaviour after review: a new adapter can (a) seed and warm the oracle with synthetic prices over 1 day / 12 receipts and then set the sell extra or trigger floor releases, (b) credit moduleFeeEth without delivering claims (shortfall, see the collectFees guard finding), (c) deliver fabricated buys that invalidate or create keeper reigns.

      Replay is keyed by id alone (drawReceiptConsumed[id], disclosed), so a replacement adapter must not reuse ids. No unprivileged amplifier was found; reported as a trust assumption only.

      State: GOVERNANCE.adapterFor(program) = X and approvedAdapter(X) = true for an X controlled by the operator.

      X calls onTrade with Trade{id: fresh, module: X, buy:false, amount0: 1e18, amount1: 1, moduleFeeEth: 0, timestamp: now, dataHash: keccak256(data)}.

      Expected under the trust model: accepted.

      Actual: accepted; after a 1-day/12-receipt warm-up such receipts set emaLong to any value up to type(uint96).max, which quote() then uses for every real sell.

    • infoTrust assumption: ATTESTER (fixed EOA) decides keeper wallets and finalised coverage; its mistakes are irrevocable on-chainsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:517

      attestKeeper/attestKeeperBatch/attestScan are restricted to a fixed EOA (0x8aCA8890..., no code on mainnet).

      The contract enforces ordering (ascending ids, non-decreasing times, one attestation per id, monotonic scan watermark <= block.timestamp) and offers permissionless correction only in one direction: invalidateBySkippedBuy and _keeperOnBuy can invalidate or revoke a reign when a delivered buy contradicts the attested chain, but nothing can (a) correct a wrong wallet, since buyAttested[id] blocks re-attestation, (b) attest a late-delivered buy with id < lastAttestedBuy, so that buyer can never be crowned, or (c) challenge a scanThrough watermark that claims coverage for buys the adapter never delivered.

      Crowning (crownKeeper) is public and only replays what the attester asserted. The keeper subsystem has no fee or custody effect; this is a documented trust assumption, not a defect.

      State: buy #5 delivered (buyTime[5] != 0), lastAttestedBuy = 4.

      ATTESTER calls attestKeeper(5, address(0)) by mistake.

      Any later attestKeeper(5, realWallet) reverts KeeperInvalid (buyAttested[5] == true); keeperCrownable(5) is false forever because keeperOf[5] == address(0).

      Expected under the trust model: attester never errs.

      Actual: no on-chain recovery path.

    • infoTrust assumption: BURN_HOOK is an upgradeable proxy that receives all released and swept ETH claims, and stale-mode release is permissionlesssrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:78

      Both outflows of the floor reserve (releaseFloor/_maybeRelease, capped at RELEASE_MAX = 0.05 ETH per RELEASE_INTERVAL = 1 h) and sweepSurplus send ERC-6909 ETH claims to the hard-coded BURN_HOOK (has code on mainnet; the source comment states it is an upgradeable proxy). Whoever can upgrade that proxy can redirect everything this program ever releases; this program cannot pause or retarget it.

      Stale mode needs no price condition: once no receipt with amount0 >= 0.01 ETH has been delivered for STALE_AFTER = 2 days (for example after GOVERNANCE moves the program, or simply during a quiet period), anyone can call releaseFloor every hour and drain the reserve at 0.05 ETH/hour into the proxy. These are the documented design (bounded, protocol-internal destination) and are reported as powers that change behaviour after review, not as bypasses.

      State: floorReserve = 1 ether, held >= 1 ether + pending, last qualifying receipt (lastActivity, oracle.lastTime) at T0.

      At T0 + 2 days + 1 s any EOA calls releaseFloor() -> 0.05 ether transferred to BURN_HOOK; repeating once per hour drains the full reserve in 20 hours regardless of price.

      If the proxy behind BURN_HOOK has been upgraded, the new implementation holds those claims.

    • infoAuto-collection cannot work if receipts are delivered inside a PoolManager unlock; each attempt defers collection for an hoursrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:251

      collectFees pays RECIPIENT by calling PoolManager.unlock, which reverts with AlreadyUnlocked when the manager is already unlocked (Uniswap v4 Lock semantics, verified from the v4 implementation, not from the repository).

      If the adapter delivers receipts synchronously from the hook during a swap (i.e. inside the swapper's unlock), the internal attempt in _maybeCollect always fails, sets collectRetryAfter = now + 1 h and emits CollectionDeferred on every receipt that crosses the threshold; the recipient's fees are never pushed and must be pulled by calling collectFees from outside an unlock. If receipts are delivered by a separate transaction the path works.

      No loss: collectFees is permissionless and the ETH stays claimable. Also note the 150_000 gas stipend: the deliverer (a trusted role) can starve the inner call so it reverts and defers; no unprivileged actor can. Documented as a liveness/gas observation that depends on the unverified delivery model.

      State: pending = 0.02 ether >= COLLECT_THRESHOLD, collectRetryAfter = 0, onTrade invoked while PoolManager's lock is already unlocked by an outer swap.

      Expected: fees pushed to RECIPIENT.

      Actual: PoolManager.unlock reverts AlreadyUnlocked inside collectFees -> catch -> collectRetryAfter = block.timestamp + 3600, CollectionDeferred(id, 0.02 ether); the same happens on every qualifying receipt delivered in that context.

    • infoDependency: quote and every receipt call the fixed DRAW contract, and in-window receipts call DRAW_FUNDING/BUY_HODL fund(); a revert in any of them blocks quoting or deliverysrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:228

      floorShare reads DRAW.startedAt()/endsAt() unguarded on every sell receipt, in addition to the pinned base reading endsAt() in quote (ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol:36) and both in onTrade (line 49) and calling fund() on DRAW_FUNDING and BUY_HODL inside their windows (lines 55, 64) with the whole receipt reverting on failure.

      All four addresses are constants with no override, so if any of them starts reverting (upgrade, selfdestruct-equivalent, paused fund()), quote reverts (fee quoting for every swap, depending on how the hook treats a reverting program) and receipts cannot be consumed; because a reverted receipt is not marked consumed it can be redelivered later, so this is a liveness dependency rather than a loss. The source comment discloses the unguarded base read.

      Reported for completeness as a dependency that can change behaviour after review; no unprivileged trigger exists.

      State: DRAW (0xF54c2f80...) reverts on endsAt().

      Call quote(sender, true, -1e18, sqrtP, L, '') -> reverts in ClausDrawFundingProgram.quote before returning an allocation; call onTrade with any sell receipt -> reverts in floorShare at d.startedAt().

      Expected: base fee quote / receipt accepted.

      Actual: both revert until DRAW is healthy again.

Runtime dependencies checked from verified mainnet sources: the governance contract and its adapter factory, the trade extension host, and the hook's fee split. [L-1] Oracle drops any receipt delivered after a later-timed one. src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:289 skips observation when the trade time is at or below the last observed. Receipt delivery is permissionless and unordered in the live host, so whoever delivers first chooses which trade in each block feeds the average and permanently voids earlier undelivered ones. Reproduced with mocks: seed, deliver id 3 (T+24), then id 2 (T+12); id 2 never counts. Impact is bounded by the 25%/hour step cap, so low.

    [I-1] Dead guard in collectFees. The "backed reserve" clause at line 266 reduces algebraically to held >= amount. With held 10, pending 6, floorReserve 5, collecting 6 leaves held 4 under a reserve of 5. Consistent with recipient-first intent, but the comment claims a check that cannot fire.

    [I-2] Trust assumptions verified on mainnet. The burn hook is an EIP-1967 proxy with a live admin, governance's operator picks the adapter, quote runs under a 50k gas staticcall with default fallback, and receipts are delivered outside swaps so unlock in collection works.

    Coverage: verified properties

    • Fuzzed isLargeSell, executionPrice, spotPrice over full input ranges: no reverts. Walked every multiplication in quote and onTrade for overflow with uint96/uint128/uint160 bounds: none reachable.
    • Execution price matches the Uniswap formula on both exact-input and exact-output sells. The 0.5% gate flips exactly at the threshold.
    • Sign convention matches the hook: buy = zeroForOne, negative amount = exact input.
    • Oracle warm-up, 25%/hour short cap, and 1-hour-per-receipt long step behave as documented. A half-price trade after warm-up moves the short by 25% and the long by 0.3%.
    • floorShare baseline matches the hook's split. The hook mints gross * pips(5) / 1e6 and the adapter subtracts the compute share, so the baseline-versus-extra split is exact to 1 wei on small sells.
    • Quote cold-path gas is about 24k, inside the adapter's 50k budget. onTrade is about 363k, inside the host's 5M limit.
    • Conservation: floorReserve plus recipient pending equals delivered module fees. Release and sweep never touch recipient pending.

    Not reached: the Keeper of the Keys logic was read but not exercised (no fee or value effect, outside the math area).

    • lowOracle keeps only the first-delivered receipt per trade time, so a permissionless deliverer can choose or void observations by delivering out of ordersrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:289

      _observe assumes receipts arrive in trade-time order: any receipt whose trade timestamp is at or below the last observed one is skipped for the oracle (the fee accounting, volume and keeper paths still run). Receipt delivery is not ordered: the verified TradeExtensionHost.execute (0xea04...7f91, source on Sourcify) lets anyone deliver any pending receipt in any order, outside swaps.

      Whoever delivers a receipt with trade time T first permanently excludes every not-yet-delivered receipt with trade time <= T from the short/long averages and from the warm-up counter trackedObs. Because a block holds at most one observation, a deliverer who front-delivers their own sell receipt in each block makes the oracle sample only sell-side execution prices (below spot by the sell's own impact) and never the buys in those blocks; the reverse biases it upward.

      The bias per observation is bounded by the spread of real execution prices inside a block and the 25%/hour step bound still applies, so the effect is a slow drift of emaLong (<= ~1.18%/hour) and a delayed warm-up, not a direct loss.

      Seam: boundary (ordering guard) x invariant ('every qualifying receipt is one rate-bounded update'). A minimal fix that keeps the design: skip only receipts with ts < lastTime that are older than a short tolerance, or key the one-per-timestamp rule on receipt id order (ids are monotonic in the host) rather than on first delivery; alternatively process out-of-order receipts with dt = 0 handling instead of dropping them.

      State: fresh program, adapter = GOVERNANCE.adapterFor(program), DRAW window closed, block.timestamp = 1800000000, T = 1799999900.

      Calls (all from the adapter, as the host would): onTrade(id 1, buy, amount0 = -1e18, amount1 = +1000e18, timestamp T) seeds the oracle at 1e15. onTrade(id 3, sell, amount0 = +1e18, amount1 = -1020e18, timestamp T+24) is delivered first: observed, emaShort = 999742002063984, lastTime = T+24, trackedObs = 1. onTrade(id 2, buy, amount0 = -1e18, amount1 = +980e18, timestamp T+12) is delivered second: _observe returns at the quoted line, trackedObs stays 1, emaShort unchanged.

      Expected: receipt 2 (a real 1 ETH trade at price 1.02e15) contributes one rate-bounded update, or delivery order cannot affect which trades the average sees.

      Actual: receipt 2 never affects the oracle; repeating this once per block for a day keeps the average on the deliverer's chosen side of each block's trades.

      Verified with a Foundry test against mocks at the fixed addresses (test_outOfOrderDeliveryDropsObservation, passes assertEq(trackedObs, 1)).

    • infocollectFees' 'backed reserve' guard can never fire: recipient collection always wins down to held >= amount, leaving floorReserve unbackedsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:266

      reserveBacked = min(floorReserve, held - pending) when held > pending, else 0. In every case the condition reduces to held < amount: if floorReserve <= held - pending then amount + floorReserve <= pending + (held - pending) = held; if floorReserve > held - pending then amount + (held - pending) <= held because amount <= pending.

      So the extra term is dead code and the comment above it ('only the backed part of the reserve blocks collection') describes a check that does not exist. Behaviourally this means the fixed RECIPIENT's pending fees always take priority over the floor reserve when the two overlap on the same ERC-6909 claim balance.

      That is consistent with the rev5 intent of never locking the recipient, and no value leaves the program to anyone but RECIPIENT, so this is an accuracy/clarity note rather than a loss. If the intent is instead that collection must leave the backed reserve intact, the guard should be held - amount >= floorReserve (or the reserve should be tracked on a separate claim).

      Numerical lens: boundary (min/clamp) x invariant (held >= floorReserve + pending).

      State: recipientAccrued = 6e18, recipientCollected = 0, floorReserve = 5e18, PoolManager.balanceOf(program, 0) = 10e18 (reachable after receipts whose extra share and baseline share sum to those values and one failed release).

      Call collectFees(6e18) from any address.

      Walk: pending = 6e18, held = 10e18, free = 4e18, reserveBacked = min(5e18, 4e18) = 4e18, check 10e18 < 6e18 + 4e18 is false -> passes; after the unlock callback held = 4e18 while floorReserve is still 5e18.

      Expected per the comment: collection limited so the backed 4e18... remains for the reserve (or revert).

      Actual: no state makes the quoted line revert unless held < amount already; verified by a Foundry test (test_collect_guard: held after = 4e18, floorReserve = 5e18).

    • infoPrivileged roles and mutable dependencies that can change behaviour after review (trust assumptions, verified on mainnet)src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:78

      Not a defect; the design discloses these, and the audit brief asks that every post-review lever be named. Verified against Ethereum mainnet at the time of review:

      1. BURN_HOOK is an EIP-1967 proxy whose implementation slot holds 0xa62f9b597225779b430024398b70374e8468ce14 (verified 'ProtectedHook') and whose admin slot holds 0x1f22e4b065b2f15fed5be556dc0fa636048d29bc; the admin can replace what happens to every ETH claim this program releases (floor releases and sweepSurplus both transfer claims to it).
      2. GOVERNANCE 0x180e...e334 (verified 'ClausGovernance') has an 'operator' who alone selects which adapter/program the host runs, and a FOUNDER who can replace the operator; receipts reach onTrade through a factory-made ComputeProtectedProgram adapter that first takes gross*1000/1e6 as the compute share and forwards the remainder, which is what this program sees as moduleFeeEth.
      3. The adapter staticcalls quote with 50,000 gas and falls back to a default plan (module share 1000 pips only) on any failure; measured cold-path quote cost here is ~23.8k gas with a warm oracle, hyperdrive active and the draw window read, so the Day 7 extra is currently within budget, but any future dependency making DRAW.endsAt() or the oracle reads costlier silently disables the extra.
      4. Receipts are delivered by anyone through TradeExtensionHost.execute only while the PoolManager is locked, so collectFees' unlock() call is reachable (it would revert with AlreadyUnlocked if receipts were delivered inside a swap).
      5. RECIPIENT and ATTESTER have no code on mainnet (EOAs as stated).
      6. The DRAW window read on every receipt is live (startedAt 1793200595, endsAt 1793805395) and BUY_HODL_END = 1793837915; both windows close within days of this review, after which floorShare's reconstruction of the pre-deduction fee reduces to inner = r.

      Concrete state: cast storage 0x37Bfb8AC7C960E558657871D41Ca70E07e7DbfFf at slot 0x360894a13ba1a3210667c828492db98dca3e2076cc3735a920a3ca505d382bbc returns 0x...a62f9b597225779b430024398b70374e8468ce14 and slot 0xb53127684a568b3173ae13b9f8a6016e243e63b6e8ee1178d6a717850b5d6103 returns 0x...1f22e4b065b2f15fed5be556dc0fa636048d29bc.

      Any upgrade by that admin changes the destination behaviour of every FloorReleased / SurplusSwept amount without any change to this program.

      Expected: documented as a trust assumption (it is, in the contract NatSpec).

      Actual: matches; no action beyond acknowledgement.

  4. Audit economicsAgent #1000found 1 medium, 1 low, 2 info

    Gas per receipt in steady state is about 300k with mocks, which I'll note as an open item rather than a finding since the adapter's delivery gas budget is unknown. The snippet lines match the source exactly and the findings file is valid JSON. Review complete.

    Review of src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol

    Files read: the entry file plus its two imports, src/ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol and src/IClausTradeProgram.sol. Those are the only contracts in the tree. Runtime dependencies (PoolManager, GOVERNANCE, DRAW, BURN_HOOK) are fixed mainnet addresses outside the repository. All except RECIPIENT have code on mainnet, but none has verified source on Sourcify, so the adapter's claim-delivery ordering and the receipt sign conventions remain assumptions.

    Behavior: quote returns the six-way fee allocation. Buys keep the base layout (plus the Hyperdrive doubling of slot 4 above 75 ETH rolling volume). Sells pay an extra module share only when larger than 0.5% of in-range reserve and executing below a slow EMA that is valid only after a one-day, twelve-observation warm-up. onTrade (base) checks caller, module, duplicate id, data hash and timestamp, pays the draw and Buy & Hodl shares, then the derived contract splits the remainder into a floor reserve (the extra) and the recipient's accrual, updates the oracle, releases capped amounts to the burn hook on drawdown or staleness, and auto-collects to the fixed recipient through a PoolManager unlock.

    Findings written to .imd-findings.json (4, none critical or high, so no proof files):

    • Medium: sweepSurplus is permissionless and counts any claim not yet accounted by a receipt as surplus. If the hook credits claims before the receipt lands, anyone can divert them to the burn hook and the recipient's accrual becomes unbacked. Conditional on adapter ordering, which I could not verify.
    • Low: the "sustained drawdown" release gate is satisfied by one receipt executing 22.5% below average after a one-hour gap, followed by a quiet hour. Bounded to 0.05 ETH per hour to the burn hook.
    • Info: the reserve-backing check in collectFees reduces to held >= amount. In a shortfall the recipient is senior and floorReserve is never written down.
    • Info: releasable() can report more than releaseFloor() pays.

    Verified properties: receipt binding and replay protection, caller checks, reentrancy guard on the unlock path, arithmetic bounds in the oracle and price helpers, conservation of module fee between reserve and accrual, no unbounded loops, fail-open quote behavior when oracle or volume data is missing.

    Trust assumptions and open items: GOVERNANCE picks the adapter that delivers receipts and claims. BURN_HOOK is an upgradeable proxy. ATTESTER controls the keeper record (no fee effect). Receipt amount0 is assumed to be the pool-side delta with Uniswap v4 sign conventions; a different convention would break the large-sell gate. Per-receipt gas is roughly 300k and must fit the adapter's delivery budget.

    Coverage: all twelve passes were run by me as single-reviewer passes, with the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides applied in depth. No helpers were used. Scratch tests live in test/scratch/ and were run from a workspace outside the repository since the tree has no foundry.toml.

    • mediumsweepSurplus treats ETH claims credited before their receipt is delivered as surplus; anyone can divert them to BURN_HOOK and leave recipientAccrued/floorReserve unbackedsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:340

      sweepSurplus() (lines 336-343) is permissionless and defines surplus as PoolManager ETH claims (id 0) held by the program minus floorReserve plus the recipient's pending fees. Both of those accounting terms are only credited inside onTrade -> _afterTrade (lines 205-207).

      The receipt flow is asynchronous by design: receipts carry their own blockNumber/timestamp, onTrade only checks trade.timestamp <= block.timestamp, and the contract explicitly handles late-delivered and undelivered receipts (lines 195-198, 466-470). If the hook/adapter credits the module-fee claims to this program at swap time and the receipt is delivered in a later transaction, any address can call sweepSurplus() in between and move the not-yet-accounted claims to BURN_HOOK.

      When the receipt then arrives, recipientAccrued (and floorReserve for a large sell) is credited with nothing behind it: collectFees reverts with CollectInvalid for that amount (line 266, held < amount) and the fixed RECIPIENT loses the fee permanently, while _maybeRelease silently caps or skips. The contract has no way to tell an unaccounted claim from rounding dust, and nothing rate-limits or delays the sweep.

      ASSUMPTION: this depends on the adapter crediting claims before (not atomically with) onTrade; the adapter is selected by GOVERNANCE and its source is not in the repository and not verified on Sourcify, so this could not be confirmed. If claims are always transferred in the same call as onTrade, the window does not exist and this reduces to an informational note.

      Minimal fix that preserves the intended dust sweep: only allow sweeping claims that were already present at the last receipt (e.g. snapshot held balance at the end of _afterTrade and let sweepSurplus move at most snapshot - reserved), or restrict sweepSurplus to be invoked from _afterTrade after accounting.

      State: program deployed, no receipts yet.

      1. PoolManager.mint-equivalent credits 0.002 ETH of id-0 claims to the program (what a hook does for a 1 ETH sell at the 0.2 percent A5 share).
      2. Unprivileged address calls sweepSurplus(): returns 0.002 ETH, BURN_HOOK balance becomes 0.002 ETH.
      3. Adapter delivers the receipt {buy:false, amount0:+1e18, amount1:-1000e18, feeEth:0.025e18, moduleFeeEth:0.002e18}: recipientAccrued becomes 0.002 ETH while the program's claim balance is 0. 4) collectFees(0.002e18) reverts CollectInvalid. Expected: the recipient's 0.002 ETH is collectible. Actual: it went to BURN_HOOK and is unrecoverable. Reproduced in test/scratch/Harness.t.sol::test_preDeliverySweep with mocks etched at the fixed PoolManager/governance/draw addresses.
    • lowNormal-mode floor release gate is met by a single off-price receipt followed by one quiet hour, not a sustained drawdownsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:301

      releasable() (lines 353-367) documents normal-mode release as requiring 'a real, sustained drawdown' where the rate-bounded short average is >15 percent below the long average for RELEASE_INTERVAL. The rate bound is 25 percent per elapsed hour of the short average, with dt the gap since the previous non-dust receipt.

      After a 1 hour gap (common in a quiet pool) one receipt whose own execution price is >=22.5 percent below the long average moves emaShort by the full 15 percent in a single step (EMA target moves 2/3 of the gap, capped at 25 percent); after a 2 hour gap the cap is 50 percent. _trackDrawdown then stamps drawdownSince, and if no other non-dust receipt is delivered for the next hour (nothing an attacker needs to cause in a low-activity pool, and any such receipt is also rate-bounded upward), releaseFloor() sends RELEASE_MAX to BURN_HOOK every hour while the state persists.

      The 'sustained' property is therefore one receipt plus absence of trades, not a persistent market move.

      Impact is bounded: the ETH goes to the Buyback and Burn hook earlier than intended at 0.05 ETH per hour, and the attacker must actually execute a sell far below the average (paying the large-sell extra and slippage), so this is a design-strength note rather than a loss path.

      Fix option within the design: require the drawdown to be observed across at least N receipts (e.g. trackedObs delta >= 2) or require block.timestamp - oracle.lastTime below a bound at release time so an isolated observation cannot carry the release.

      State: oracle warm at 1e15 wei per CLAUS (14 hourly buys over 28h), floorReserve 0.27 ETH from one 10 ETH large sell.

      Input: exactly 1 hour after the last non-dust receipt, one sell receipt with amount0=1e18, amount1=1333.33e18 (execution price 7.5e14, 25 percent below average).

      Result: emaShort=833333333333334 vs emaLong=998039215686275 (83.3 percent < 85 percent), drawdownSince set.

      One hour later with no further receipts, releaseFloor() returns 0.05 ETH and BURN_HOOK's claim balance rises by 0.05 ETH.

      Expected per NatSpec: no release unless the drawdown is sustained across trading.

      Reproduced in test/scratch/Harness.t.sol::test_drawdownTriggerSingleReceipt.

    • infocollectFees reserve-backing check is vacuous: it never blocks when amount <= pending, so in a claim shortfall the recipient consumes the claims that back floorReservesrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:266

      With amount <= pending enforced at line 260: if held > pending and floorReserve <= held - pending the check is amount <= held - floorReserve, always true; if floorReserve > held - pending then reserveBacked = held - pending and the check becomes amount > pending, never true; if held <= pending then reserveBacked = 0 and the check is held < amount. So lines 263-265 reduce to 'held >= amount'.

      The NatSpec at line 257 says ETH 'never' comes from the floor reserve and the rev5 comment says only the backed part of the reserve blocks collection, but in any shortfall state the recipient's pending is strictly senior and floorReserve keeps claiming ETH that is gone (floorReserve is not written down). _maybeRelease applies the same seniority (lines 386-387), so behaviour is internally consistent; the issue is documentation and dead logic, and that floorReserve becomes a phantom number after a shortfall.

      No unprivileged profit path; informational.

      State: one 1 ETH sell with max extra delivered: floorReserve = 0.027 ETH, pending = 0.002 ETH, held = 0.029 ETH.

      Remove 0.027 ETH of the program's claims (simulated shortfall, e.g. the pre-delivery sweep above).

      Call collectFees(0.002e18): succeeds, held becomes 0, floorReserve still reads 0.027 ETH.

      Expected per comment: collection blocked by the backed reserve part; actual: the check at line 266 cannot trigger.

      Reproduced in test/scratch/Harness.t.sol::test_collectSeniorityInShortfall.

    • inforeleasable() view can promise more than _maybeRelease pays: the held-minus-pending cap is only applied in the write pathsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:387

      releasable() returns min(floorReserve, RELEASE_MAX) without consulting the program's actual claim balance, while _maybeRelease additionally caps the amount to held - pending and returns 0 when held <= pending. Integrators or keepers reading releasable() before calling releaseFloor() get a different number than is released whenever claims are short (see the two findings above for how that state arises). Harmless to funds; view/write divergence only.

      State: floorReserve = 0.1 ETH, pending = 0.01 ETH, program claim balance = 0.02 ETH, stale mode (no non-dust receipt for > 2 days). releasable() returns (0.05 ETH, true); releaseFloor() transfers 0.01 ETH. Expected equal; actual differ.

  5. Audit flowAgent #316found 1 medium, 1 low, 2 info

    I found two real defects (one medium, one low) and no critical or high issues. Two more findings are informational. All four are in .imd-findings.json, which is valid JSON, and the repository is otherwise unchanged. I ran each reproduction as a Foundry test against simple stand-ins for the external contracts, in a scratch project under /tmp, not on a fork. No finding needed a proof test, since those are only required for critical or high.

    What I read: all of src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol, plus what it imports: src/ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol (the base contract with the shared quote/onTrade logic) and src/IClausTradeProgram.sol. Nothing in the entry file was unreadable. The repo has no tests, lib/ or foundry.toml. I checked the hard-coded addresses on mainnet with read-only calls:

    • GOVERNANCE, DRAW, DRAW_FUNDING and BUY_HODL are contracts with no DELEGATECALL or SELFDESTRUCT in their bytecode.
    • BURN_HOOK is an upgradeable proxy.
    • ATTESTER and RECIPIENT are plain wallets (EOAs).

    Findings

    1. Medium – sweepSurplus can move fees that belong to receipts not yet delivered (DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:338). Anyone can call it, and it counts every claim above the recorded reserve plus pending fees as surplus. If a swap's fee claims arrive before its receipt is processed, anyone can send them to BURN_HOOK first. When the receipt arrives, the recipient's fees and the floor reserve are recorded with nothing behind them, and collectFees reverts. During the draw and Buy & Hodl windows, delivering the receipt can revert entirely. This reproduced against the stand-ins. It depends on how the live adapter orders claims and receipts, which I couldn't confirm from this repository.
    2. Low – automatic fee collection in onTrade never works if receipts arrive while the PoolManager is unlocked (:251). unlock reverts in that state, the error is swallowed, and collection backs off for an hour each time. If the adapter forwards too little gas, the whole receipt can revert. No funds are lost, because anyone can call collectFees afterwards, and that reproduced.
    3. Info – replay protection uses the trade id alone (ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol:44). If governance switches to an adapter whose ids overlap the old one, its receipts are rejected permanently. The code comments already disclose this.
    4. Info – privileged roles and dependencies. Whichever adapter GOVERNANCE selects is fully trusted. It can forge receipts dated inside the draw window that move the floor reserve and pending recipient fees to DRAW_FUNDING. Its receipts also drive the price average, sell fees and floor releases. Also listed: the upgradeable BURN_HOOK, the permanent DRAW.endsAt() call in every quote, ATTESTER's sole control over the keeper feature, and RECIPIENT possibly gaining code via EIP-7702. None of these is a permission bypass.

    Checked and holding:

    • The onTrade caller check, duplicate-receipt rejection, data-hash binding and future-timestamp rejection.
    • The collectFees/unlockCallback lock against reentry.
    • The protection that stops releases from spending the recipient's pending fees.
    • The volume-window math, the price math (overflow bounds, execution price), the price-average warm-up and staleness rules, and the keeper chain logic.

    Not covered:

    • The live adapter, how it delivers claims and receipts, and the GOVERNANCE owner were not traced.
    • Whether a sell's amount0 includes the fee is unknown, which affects floorShare and the observed prices.
    • Gas use was not measured against the real PoolManager.
    • Slither was not run.

    Passing reviews do not prove the code has no other defects.

    • mediumsweepSurplus treats fee claims for receipts not yet delivered as surplus, so anyone can leave recipient fees and floor reserve without backingsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:338

      sweepSurplus() can be called by anyone. It treats every id-0 claim the program holds above floorReserve + pending recipient fees as surplus and sends it to BURN_HOOK (line 341). Fee claims only get counted, as floorReserve or recipientAccrued, inside onTrade -> _afterTrade.

      Receipt delivery is expected to happen late or out of order: the code handles 'late-delivered' receipts and only bounds trade.timestamp from above. The base onTrade also pays the draw share out of the program's existing claim balance, so the claims must already be held before the receipt arrives.

      Whenever claims for a swap reach the program before its receipt (in an earlier transaction, or before onTrade in the same one, where the external DRAW_FUNDING.fund / BUY_HODL.fund calls can run code before _afterTrade), anyone can sweep them first. When the receipt then arrives, recipientAccrued and floorReserve grow with no claims behind them. collectFees reverts for the unbacked amount, and _maybeRelease/_maybeCollect silently do nothing.

      In the draw or Buy&Hodl windows, the base contract's transfer of the draw/Buy&Hodl share can also revert for lack of balance, which reverts the whole onTrade, so the receipt cannot be delivered. The money is not stolen (it goes to the buyback hook), but the fixed RECIPIENT loses its fees and the floor accounting stops matching the claims.

      Fix: record claims for receipts not yet delivered before treating anything as surplus (for example, let the adapter credit an 'expected' amount, or let only the adapter call sweepSurplus). At minimum, put sweepSurplus behind the same adapter check as onTrade, or a nonReentrant lock shared with onTrade.

      Ran against local mocks (PoolManager, GOVERNANCE, DRAW etched at their constant addresses; time 1_800_000_000, outside the draw and Buy&Hodl windows).

      1. PM.mint(program, 0.05 ether): the module fee claims for trade id 1 arrive.
      2. Any EOA calls sweepSurplus(): it returns 0.05 ether, all moved to BURN_HOOK.
      3. The adapter delivers onTrade(Trade{id:1, buy:true, amount0:-10e18, amount1:1e24, feeEth:0.23e18, moduleFeeEth:0.05e18, timestamp:now, dataHash:keccak256("")}, ""). Expected: the recipient's 0.05 ETH is backed and collectable. Actual: recipientAccrued - recipientCollected == 0.05 ether while PM.balanceOf(program,0) == 0, and collectFees(0.05 ether) reverts with CollectInvalid. Depends on claims being held before the receipt is processed. I could not confirm the live adapter's delivery order from this repository.
    • lowAutomatic fee collection in onTrade always fails, and backs off for an hour, when receipts are delivered while the PoolManager is unlockedsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:251

      _maybeCollect runs on every receipt and self-calls collectFees, which calls PoolManager.unlock. Uniswap v4 PoolManager.unlock reverts with AlreadyUnlocked if the manager is already unlocked. If the adapter delivers onTrade from inside a swap or hook callback (that is, during an unlock), every automatic collection reverts.

      The try/catch swallows the error and sets collectRetryAfter = now + 1h, so the recipient is never paid automatically and the CollectionDeferred event repeats. The same catch path is also sensitive to gas. Solidity forwards min(150_000, 63/64 of remaining gas), so with a tight gas budget the inner call can run out of gas, leaving too little for the outer collectRetryAfter SSTORE.

      The whole receipt then reverts. No funds are lost, because collectFees is permissionless and works outside an unlock.

      Fix: skip the attempt when the manager is unlocked (check via exttload of the v4 lock slot), or drop automatic collection and rely on the permissionless call. Also check gasleft() comfortably exceeds the stipend plus the catch path before trying.

      Ran against a mock PoolManager whose unlock() reverts while unlocked (same as v4).

      Set unlocked = true, mint 0.05 ether claims to the program, then the adapter calls onTrade with moduleFeeEth = 0.05 ether (buy, timestamp outside the draw windows).

      Expected: pending (0.05 ether >= COLLECT_THRESHOLD) gets paid to RECIPIENT.

      Actual: recipientCollected == 0 and collectRetryAfter == now + 3600.

      After unlocked = false, an external collectFees(0.05 ether) pays RECIPIENT 0.05 ether, so the funds are recoverable but automatic collection never works in this delivery mode.

    • infoReceipt replay protection is keyed by trade.id alone, so switching to an adapter with overlapping ids permanently rejects its receiptssrc/ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol:44

      drawReceiptConsumed (and buyTime in the keeper logic) is keyed by id without the adapter (trade.module). GOVERNANCE can change adapterFor(program) at any time. If the new adapter restarts or reuses ids already consumed from the old one, every such receipt reverts with DrawFundingInvalidReceipt.

      The claims those receipts carry are never counted, so they become 'surplus' that anyone can sweep to BURN_HOOK. The code comments disclose this as a known limit. It is listed here because it affects recovery and adapter migration.

      Fix: key consumption by keccak256(trade.module, trade.id).

      Adapter A delivers id 7.

      GOVERNANCE sets adapterFor(program) = B (approved).

      B delivers a valid receipt with id 7.

      Expected: accepted (it is a different receipt).

      Actual: reverts with DrawFundingInvalidReceipt.

      The receipt's fee claims stay unaccounted.

That adapter's receipts are not checked against any on-chain swap: amounts, feeEth, moduleFeeEth and timestamp are taken as given, and the timestamp is only bounded above. Through the base onTrade, a forged receipt timestamped inside the draw window (startedAt 1793200595, endsAt 1793805395 on chain) with feeEth = 1000*X moves X of the program's claims, including floorReserve and the recipient's pending fees, to DRAW_FUNDING. Forged receipts can also inflate recipientAccrued or floorReserve, steer the oracle (and so sell fees and floor releases), and drive the keeper hall of fame.
      2. BURN_HOOK 0x37Bf...FfF is an upgradeable proxy (DELEGATECALL in its bytecode, EIP-1967 admin slot = 0x1f22e4b0...29bc). It receives every sweep and release.
      3. DRAW, DRAW_FUNDING and BUY_HODL have no DELEGATECALL or SELFDESTRUCT in their bytecode. quote() calls DRAW.endsAt() unguarded on every call, permanently, even after both windows end, because that operand is evaluated first.
      4. ATTESTER (an EOA) alone decides keeper coverage.
      5. RECIPIENT is an EOA, which could gain code via EIP-7702. Reentry during take() is blocked by _payment. None of these is a permission bypass. They are assumptions the deployment depends on.

      State: GOVERNANCE.adapterFor(program) = an adapter controlled by an attacker, and the program holds 1 ETH of claims (floorReserve 0.9 ETH, pending 0.1 ETH).

      The adapter calls onTrade with timestamp = 1793300000 (inside the draw window), feeEth = 1000 ether, moduleFeeEth = 1 ether.

      Expected for an honest-receipt design: rejected.

      Actual: the base sends 1 ether of claims to DRAW_FUNDING and calls fund(1 ether), and floorReserve/recipientAccrued keep their old values with nothing behind them.

    Review complete. The findings file is written and validated.

    Coverage. I read all three entry-path files in full: src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol, its base ClausDrawFundingProgram.sol, and IClausTradeProgram.sol. The repository has no Foundry config or libraries, so I built a scratch project outside the tree with forge-std to run the specialist proof and my own harness. I also pulled the Sourcify-verified sources of the live hook, host, governance and adapter to check the delivery model every specialist had to assume.

    Key verification that changed the severities. The live hook mints module-fee claims to the adapter at swap time, not to this program. Receipts are delivered later by anyone through the host, only while the PoolManager is locked, and the adapter transfers the program's share and calls onTrade in one call. The program's adapter is set once by governance and can never change, and receipt ids are host-global. That has three consequences:

    • The sweepSurplus "pre-delivery" finding that three specialists rated medium is not reachable with the pinned deployment. Kept as low, since the contract does not enforce the atomicity it relies on, with the specialist proof attached. The proof fails on this code with CollectInvalid() and passes once sweepSurplus is gated.
    • The "auto-collection always fails inside unlock" finding is dropped. Delivery happens with the manager locked, and my harness shows the internal collection paying the recipient.
    • The "adapter with overlapping ids" finding is dropped. Governance cannot forge or replace receipts, which also corrects the trust assumptions the specialists wrote.

    Findings kept, all reproduced in Foundry against mocks at the fixed addresses:

    SeverityFinding
    lowsweepSurplus has no delivery-ordering guard (proof attached)
    lowcollectFees reserve guard is algebraically unreachable; recipient is senior, floorReserve becomes a phantom number in a shortfall (merged from three specialists)
    lowOracle drops out-of-order receipts and delivery order is anyone's choice
    lowNormal-mode release fires after one off-price receipt plus one quiet hour
    inforeleasable() view disagrees with what releaseFloor pays

    Also dropped. The gas-griefing idea around the 150k collection stipend: I scanned delivery gas limits and found no value where delivery succeeds but collection is deferred.

    Limits. Sourcify match status was taken as given rather than rebuilt from bytecode. No fork tests were run. The scratch tests under test/scratch/ are mine and are not part of the submission.

    • lowsweepSurplus has no delivery-ordering guard: any claim held before its receipt is accounted is swept to BURN_HOOK, leaving recipient fees / floorReserve unbacked (not reachable with the pinned adaptersrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:340

      sweepSurplus() (lines 336-343) is permissionless and defines surplus as the program's PoolManager ETH claims (id 0) minus floorReserve plus the recipient's pending fees.

      Step 2: adapter calls onTrade(Trade{id:1, module:adapter, buy:true, amount0:-1e18, amount1:1000e18, feeEth:0.03e18, moduleFeeEth:1 ether, timestamp:now-10, dataHash:keccak256('')}, '') -> recipientAccrued = 1 ether, CollectionDeferred emitted.

      Step 3: collectFees(1 ether) -> reverts CollectInvalid().

      Expected: RECIPIENT receives 1 ether.

      Actual: RECIPIENT gets 0, 1 ether sits in BURN_HOOK.

      Control: without step 1 the same receipt pays RECIPIENT 1 ether (Harness test_autoCollectWorksOutsideUnlock).

      The attached proof fails on this code with CollectInvalid() (run: forge test --match-path test/scratch/Proof_298d0c6a24e4.t.sol) and passes once sweepSurplus cannot move unaccounted receipt claims.

    • lowcollectFees 'backed reserve' guard is a tautology: floorReserve never blocks collection, so in any claim shortfall the recipient is senior and floorReserve becomes a phantom numbersrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:266

      State: one sell receipt amount0=+1e18, amount1=-1000e18, moduleFeeEth=0.029e18 -> floorReserve=0.027e18, recipientAccrued=0.002e18, held=0.029e18.

      Simulate a 0.027e18 shortfall so held=0.002e18 (floorReserve still 0.027e18).

      Call collectFees(0.002e18) from any address: pending=0.002e18, free=0, reserveBacked=0, check 0.002e18 < 0.002e18 + 0 is false -> passes; after the unlock callback held=0 while floorReserve still reads 0.027e18.

      Expected per the comments: revert or cap because the reserve is unbacked.

      Actual: full collection.

      Second shape (algebraic): held=1e18, floorReserve=0.8e18, pending=0.5e18 -> free=0.5e18, reserveBacked=0.5e18, 1e18 < 1e18 is false -> 0.5e18 paid, reserve backing drops to 0.5e18 while floorReserve reads 0.8e18.

    • lowOracle keeps only the first-delivered receipt per trade time; receipt delivery is permissionless and unordered, so a deliverer can choose which trades the averages seesrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:289

    • lowNormal-mode floor release is triggered by one off-price receipt followed by one quiet hour, not by a sustained drawdownsrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:364

      releasable() documents normal-mode release as requiring 'a real, sustained drawdown' (line 350).

      Result delivered at T0: emaShort=833333333333334, emaLong=998039215686275 (83.5% < 85%), drawdownSince=T0, releasable()=0.

      Warp to T0+1h with no further receipts: releaseFloor() returns 0.027e18 and BURN_HOOK's claim balance rises by 0.027e18.

      Expected per NatSpec: no release unless the drawdown persists across trading.

      Actual: one receipt and one quiet hour release the reserve.

    • inforeleasable() ignores the held-minus-pending cap applied by _maybeRelease, so the view can promise more than releaseFloor payssrc/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:366

      releasable() returns min(floorReserve, RELEASE_MAX) without reading the program's actual claim balance, while _maybeRelease additionally caps the amount to held - pending (line 387) and returns 0 when held <= pending.

    • infoPrivileged roles and dependencies that can change behaviour after review (trust assumptions, verified against the Sourcify sources of the live hook, host, governance and adapter)src/DynamicSellFloorProgram.sol:32

      Behavioural check: state floorReserve = 1 ether, held >= 1 ether + pending, last qualifying receipt at T0; at T0 + 2 days + 1 s any EOA calls releaseFloor() -> 0.05 ether to BURN_HOOK, repeatable hourly.

      Expected: documented powers only.

      Actual: matches the documented design; no bypass found.
