Build "Squeek Odometer", a single-page stream companion and transaction tool for Squeekchain (Ethereum Sepolia, chainId 11155111). Static site, no backend, plain HTML/CSS/JS, works on desktop and phone.

DATA (public, CORS open, fetch from the browser every 15 seconds)

  1. LIVE ODOMETER (main view)
  • Big animated hamster wheel that spins at the real RPM and stops when coreStatus is IDLE.
  • Status line: "SQUEEKTOSHI IS RUNNING" / "RESTING" / "WHEEL OFFLINE".
  • Tonight's distance as a rolling odometer (km with 3 decimals), current speed in km/h, RPM.
  • Fun conversions of tonight's and all-time distance: % of a marathon, laps of a 400 m track, times around a football pitch.
  • Squeekchain block height with a progress bar, SQK minted so far.
  • 30-night bar chart of distance per night, highlight the record night.
  1. STREAM OVERLAY MODE (for the hamster livestream / OBS)
  • Open with ?overlay=1: transparent background, no page chrome, only a compact card (wheel icon, RUNNING/RESTING, tonight's km, speed).
  • ?overlay=1&size=small|large and ?theme=light|dark.
  • A "Copy OBS overlay link" button on the main page that copies the overlay URL.
  1. SEND A TRANSACTION (wallet tool)
  • "Connect wallet" button using EIP-6963 so it works when several wallets are installed (MetaMask, Rabby, etc.); let the user pick the wallet.
  • Switch to Sepolia (chainId 0xaa36a7) if needed.
  • "Squeek check-in" button: sends approve(spender = the user's own address, amount = 0) to the SQK token address read from /v1/economy/state identities.token. This is a harmless direct call to a Squeekchain contract. Show a clear line before signing: "This approves 0 SQK to yourself on Sepolia testnet. It moves no funds."
  • After sending, show the tx hash with a link to https://sepolia.etherscan.io/tx/ and wait for the receipt (success / failed).
  • Keep a local history of the visitor's check-ins in localStorage (time, tx hash, how far the hamster had run tonight at that moment).
  1. TONIGHT'S GUESS (fun, local only)
  • "How far will Squeektoshi run tonight?" input in km; saved in localStorage with the date.
  • Next visit shows the guess vs the actual result for that night and how close it was.

STYLE

  • Clean dark theme, square corners, monospace numbers, one accent colour (warm orange). Hamster emoji is fine.
  • Footer: "Fan-made companion for Squeekchain. Testnet only. Not affiliated." Link to https://squeekchain.com and the official livestream on https://x.com/squeekchain.
  • No token sale, no mainnet transactions, never ask for private keys or seed phrases.

    Requirements

    • Fetch the four feeds every 15 s and keep the last good values when the API fails: met. src/data.js (POLL_MS, values cached in localStorage, healthLabel "Last updated X min ago").
    • The wheel spins at the real RPM and stops when idle: met. src/main.js:45-79 sets the animation's playback rate to the RPM over a 60 s turn, and pauses unless the status is SPINNING.
    • Status line ("SQUEEKTOSHI IS RUNNING" / "RESTING" / "WHEEL OFFLINE"): met. #wheel-status; the live feed was IDLE and the page showed "RESTING".
    • Rolling odometer in km with 3 decimals, plus km/h and RPM: met. #odometer, #speed, #rpm; it showed 011.675, which matches the API's distanceMm 11674766.
    • Marathon, track and pitch conversions for tonight and all time: met. .conversion-grid and the Tonight / All time toggle.
    • Block height, progress bar and SQK minted: met. #block-height, <progress>, #minted (16,455,437.09 SQK, calculated exactly with BigInt).

    1. Medium, taste: the page stacks six "tiny paws" taglines on a tool page (index.html:101, 185, 215, 352, 498 and src/main.js:136). Keep "Little paws, live miles." as the one voice line and delete the rest. For the running-state caption under the odometer, use "Live reading, refreshed every 15 seconds." instead.

      Keep 'Little paws, live miles.' as the one voice line.

      Why: the page is a tool read to get a task done; one voice line belongs to the hero and the rest repeat it, so the stack of slogans dilutes the headline and pushes each section's data down.

      Width 390 and 1440, load the page (API reachable). Screenshot at 390 shows 'One very small proof of work.' under the wheel, 'Testnet tokens, powered by tiny paws.' under the minted figure, 'A little distance goes a long way.' under 'Put those paws in perspective', 'A tiny check-in for a tiny athlete.' under the check-in heading and 'Made for the little guy.' in the footer: five taglines plus the hero subline, none of which tells the reader anything the section does not.

      Change to: heading 'Check in on Sepolia' and delete the line at index.html:352 so the existing 'This approves 0 SQK to yourself on Sepolia testnet. It moves no funds.' note sits directly under the heading. The transaction note, the button and the Contract details stay as they are.

      Why: when the main action is unfamiliar, the heading states that action plainly; the brief names it the 'Squeek check-in', and the heading should match the button the visitor is about to press.

      Width 390: scroll to the tools section (about y=1950 of the full page). Heading wraps to two lines 'Leave a little proof / you were here.' next to a 'Sepolia only' tag; the word 'check-in' only appears in the tagline below and on the button.

      Why: a control that breaks mid-label reads as two items; the footer already uses 'Official livestream', so the meaning stays clear.

      Width 390, first screen (test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png): the link at top right of the page header renders as two lines 'Watch the' / 'livestream' with the ↗ arrow at x≈365 detached from the text. At 1440 it renders on one line inside its box.
